Default TPS? or am I way off?

I've been experiencing a hesitation/misfire between ~5000-6000RPM. First noticed it at an autox. I tested the AFM in the car with no noticable voltage changes, so next thought it could be the TPS. When I was driving it yesterday I floored it in first (no misfire, it went straight thru to redline), second (occurred about 5500), third (occurred about 5000). Next I tried it in third only, got to ~5000 and it stuttered, so I only slightly let off the throttle, no problem it went all the way to redline. Did this again but as I let off sligthly I went to WOT again, but this time no stutter it pulled thru to redline. Measured the TPS resistance. It's fine at closed throttle (0.0), but at WOT I was at 4 ohms. Is this enough to give a faulty reading to the DME or could it be a sign that its starting to fail? Any other thoughts?
