Default Bolt sizes/threads for helicoils/timeserts?

I need to re-thread some bolt holes on my 951. I used a torque wrench when I re-assembled my 951, but I learned the hard way that it is out of calibration.

So, I need to know the specs on the some bolts/holes so that I can order the correct inserts to repair the threads.

For the oil pan, I understand that they are M6x1.00x10mm, is that roughly correct? I should probably order 10 or 15 of these, since a few of them stripped, and some were questionable.

For the steering rack mounting bolts, what size are they?
M8x1.25x20mm?..... I can't tell without removing my rack which isn't possible with the car in it's current position/location.

Of course when I refer to length, I mean thread depth in the hole, not bolt length.

I have a couple local shops where I can buy the insert kits, but if somebody knows a place online that is really cheap I would rather save a few bucks.

BTW: sorry for post-whoring

I just put new ones in last week for a 944na (should be the same) -- M8x60mm -- standard pitch (1.25, right?). The torque spec says something like 30 ft-lbs, but I go much lower now -- I've snapped two bolts in this location thus far....

I'd look up the other ones in PET.

30lb-ft, eh?...
I did mine to 25 and one of them just kept turning....
Perhaps even my new torque wrench is buggered.
I'll timesert them, and I don't think they will ever back out again. I wonder how deep the threads are though?....

Oh never mind -- I just looked up Hayne's and it says 17ft-lbs. No wonder I stripped a bolt....

haha, yikes. I read 27lb/ft somewhere.... apparently I had the wrong specs.
I rounded it to 25lb-ft and went with that.

Come to think of it, I might have a spare crossmember that I can use instead. The threads on it would be just fine, but I'll need new bolts.
