I am very flattered. I just know that the people on this board spend a lot to time and money in their cars and take pride in the work that they do...so the least that can be done is to showcase what makes their car or them unique 
I just happen to have a little skill in the graphic arts. So if I can use my skill to save someone some time and money before they change a wheel color, or a body color or cut panels or anything then that is well worth it....plus I love the Porsche®!

i had one and it was great.

But it's not just the avatars, though that's the most common reminder - how about the zillion, "what would my car look like with these rims or this color" photoshop requests?
The membership thing, it's not a huge deal, but just a way to acknowledge Testarossa's many contributions to the community.

steve- you should get him to do the pic of you in that drainage thing (not sure what it was a pic of), where you're rappelling (spl???) down.
