Default 1986 944 parts lot for So Cal pickup this weekend only - $250

Hi Listers,

This might be a good deal for someone who has tonight or Saturday free and lives in So Cal. Here is the story: 2 years ago, I parted out a well kept 1986 NA with only 89K miles on it. I have many of the best parts off of it that and some others that I need out of my garage no later than Saturday night (7/22). The house is being listed and shown as of Sunday 7/23 so I will get them gone, even if I need to have them hauled off to the dump Sunday morning. I want to offer them to any lister who can pick them up from Big Bear Lake, CA by Saturday night - no later (the fires are contained - no worries there, at least this week).

Price is $250 paypalled to me. I'll seal the deal with a phone call, a committment to pick up at a given time and $$$ in my paypal account. That will get you a phone # and address of where you can pick-up. My Father who lives in BB will handle the pickup since I am in Nor Cal. now.

I'm sorry, I took pictures while there last week, but some reason they are not on my SD card (?). Parts are not junk, I would have thrown them away 2 years ago if it were such. I was keeping for a NA racer but have too much Turbo stuff to store already, so . . . Here is a list w/ descriptions:

(1) NA Front lower valence - red, good condition with one corner sanded down from rubbing on curbs and some warping that should straiten when mounted. 7 out of 10 - much better than most I've seen on the road right now. No tears, just the abraided/worn down section on passenger side lower.

(2) headlight covers - perfect/strait
(2) headlight bulbs, Hallogen Sylvania
(1) turbo radiator (not of this car) good, sealing radiator - cap the turbo port and get better cooling than the stock NA unit

(1) radiator support - lower- strait.
(2) 924S stock phone dials - no bends, no caps wheels only
(1) stock cataletic converter 89K
(1) stock cat back muffler and tip - good shape
(2) late visors
(1) set of stock struts (boge), springs and strut tops
(1) set of stock front hubs and rotors
(4) brake calipers - some red paint on them. Nice cond. brake pads are just shy of new all the way around
(1) complete stock air box and new filter
(1) intake manifold and throttle body w/ good TPS
(1) set lower front alloy control arms - cores with cracked ball-joint boots
(1) alluminum jack
(1) drivers side black door panel late - good shape

a box of misc. lenses - taillight lense and front reflectors, misc hardware.

that is what I recall, there is a bit more there then that. YOU MUST TAKE ALL OF IT OUT OF MY GARAGE _ THAT"S THE DEAL. You can perhaps fit all in a 944 with very creative packing or haul some stuff to the trash facility and take what you want home. A pickup truck would work better, but the drive up is soooo P.car friendly. I see a great deal for someone with a munched front end or who failed NOX and needs a cat - you could prob. sell off what you dont need and break even, gas included.

The house selling is thousands of dollars at stake so the $250 of parts is not a major concern to me. I just hate to bury it in a landfill and I could not spare the room to take the stuff with me so do you hear opportunity knocking?

Call me to arrange and I will post to this thread when a deal is struck, closing it at that time

BE SURE YOU CAN MAKE YOUR COMMITTMENT BEFORE CALLING ME. NO, I WILL NOT SELL SINGLE PARTS _ YOU CAN TALK TO WHOEVER BUYS THE LOT TO ARRANGE POSSIBLY.

Big respect to you all.

My number is (707) 315-8564 and my name is Matt. Call me if you want them.

Matt,

I would love to help you bud, but I only would need:
(1) stock cataletic converter 89K
(2) late visors
(1) set of stock struts (boge), springs and strut tops
(1) set of stock front hubs and rotors
(1) complete stock air box and new filter
(2) 924S stock phone dials - no bends, no caps wheels only

I will take them off your hands if you want me to. Sorry, but I don't have a vehicle to take it all.

SS

Matt, I hate to see that go to a dump too.

If buyers can get their $**** together fast enough, I will pick it all up and arrange for shipping to the buyers.

Pm enroute..

Just read it, sorry I'm a bit slow, helping someone working on his car. The price is to much for ME to buy it since there wouldnt be muchextra to be made. If the price was like 100 or so, sure I'd grab it.

Wouldn't you know, I picked the HOTTEST day in California's history to spend 8 hrs on the highway!

With cars parked and hoods open ALL over the place, my Caravan kicked ***. a couple of 120 stints and 6% grades were just part of the fun. Got to follow a C2 up the hill to Big Bear, until he got pissed and pulled into a turnout to scowl at me as I passed him. Just because it's a minivan, doesn't mean the driver doesn't know how to use it. Growing up in Denver, you learn how to drive mountian roads! Comming down off the "mountian", topps out at 8700' so it's more like a hill, the van's brakes were waay spongy.

Once I get the van unloaded, I'll post pics of what's available. The front valance and door panel were in rough shape so I didn't bother.

SS S2, still interested? You've got first whack.

Here's most of the pics, still missing the brakes, side trim, and exhaust. Those will get posted tomorrow.

Are the phone dials 6" or 7"? I'm searing for a pair of 7" late offsets to mount backup track tires on....

Sharky - yours for cheap, PM me for high res pics.

Joe - looks like it's time to break out the private reserve, I think I have a pair from when I bought the 951.
