First thing I would do is go to the parts store and get a cheap mechanical guage and some hose and fittings and remove the pressure sender , install the hose and guage and see what the pressure really is!

Well it is most definetly a rod knock. I started it up and it sounded fine for a minute (literally... about 60 seconds) and then that damn knock came back. Had a friend of my father come over who is a mechanic (because I obviously was not going to drive it there) and he confirmed my fears.
So it's back to the corolla for a while till I get this all sorted out and fixed.

Yeah... At least i get to learn about the car. I wont be doing it alone though I'll make sure I have someone who knows what they are doin helping me out.
But I love this car and it doesnt kill me to do a little surgery on it. Even if it takes me years I'll make this car happy again.
