Default Old vs. New belly pan

Will a belly pan from a later 944 fit an early one? I believe the early pans were metal and the later ones were plastic.

Having seen both pans, but not side to side.. i cant think of a reason why it would not work. It bolts to the lower radiator support (3x) and to the rear half the crossmember, i think 5 or 6 bolts. The metal pan has two extra bolts on each side that goto the frame rail.

The plastic one is much more convenient. Those two extra bolt locations on the metal one are always the hardest to fasten, and the metal pan is just heavy when you're lying on your back. Try it out!
