Default Change Pipes?

I have a stock 89 944T (only mods are a chip and lighter fly wheel). I just bought the car and the previous owner gave me a second set of pipes with the cats gutted out. Should I change out the pipes? How much more reponse and HP will it add? What will it sound like?

I would switch them out.. I've heard what straight thru 951s sound like, and they sound mean as hell!

It won't be much louder and the spool will be quicker (especially if your cats are clogged). Do it. You'll like it.
