Default Just over a year and a new timing belt going on

Well, I'm finally getting that pesky oil leak of mine fixed soon. An appointment with Fordahl Motorsports has been made for the 18th.
I must get it done before Parade, because thier competition rules say NO LEAKS. And it's been buggin the hell out of me anyways.
I figure since they're in there and have to remove everything anyways, I'll have 'em stick a new belt on, if they're comfortable with me runnign AutoX with it being new. The car will likely be driven only a few hundred miles between then and Parade so....
Whaddaya think? New belt? I've only put about 8000 miles on it since it was last replaced.
I'll be glad to have that leak finally being taken care of I chose them because thier rates are very reasonable, and they race the 944 series cars. Top 944 people in the area, I hear from everyone. Great people, and they're PCA.

an oil soaked belt can ruin your day, good luck on the wait.

Oddly enough, it's not oil soaked, as of the last inspection. The entire inside of the belt covers was bone dry.

Up front somewhere. I had the car in another shop awhile back and they took a look, but could not see an obvious leak point. They replaced something in the OPRV, but that didn't help.
The new shop is suspecting some sot of cork gasket behind the distributor...we'll see...
Wherever it's coming from, itwill be fixed this time.
