Because the alarm shuts off the fuel pump when armed, right?

My '89 na had a faulty alarm from the get go. About 3 yrs. ago. I came out of the barber shop, put the key in, it turned over, but the lights flashed. I have to assume that the audible part of the alarm had already been disabled. Well, come to find out that the alarm decided to go **** up the rest of the way. So, no fuel will be pumped, so no start. There is a relay, in the fuse box. Remove it and you will be back on the road. That's my story, I'm sticking to it.
