Bosch Coil 944?

Bosch Coil 944?
This has been freaking me out for a little bit... I'm trouble-shooting a short somewhere and I refered to my pictures of the car before it got torn appart so I'm 99% sure that this black and green pair of wires are in the correct spot... Can someone confirm that their coil has a + on the black wire, or is it all in my head??

The green wire goes to the DME.

Because when I hook it to a multimeter to check for continuity with the ground on the negative post on the cell, it reads as a ground..

You can't check for continuity when voltage is present. A wire will show continuity to ground if there is a curcuit present. For instance you can read continuity through a light bulb filiment but it's not a dead short.

Black wire from ignition switch goes to #15. Green wire from DME goes to #1. Bet you can figure out where the large cable goes. Should be battery voltage at the black wire #15 with the key on. The other side may have a voltage potential as this is the side the DME grounds (electronically) and relases to cause the spark. If you have not taken the wires off then they should be in the correct locations. If you did take the wires off you should have made a chart showing where to put them back.
Most non-starts are the DME relay, the ignition switch or the sensors. Seldom does the coil on a stock 944 crap out. In some cases (changing the oil filter) the large cable to the dist cap catches on the head light arm and is pulled out under the weather boot just enough to kill the spark. You will also have no spark at the plug when the timing belt breaks. You will have spark at the coil.
