I always talk to the 944 guys. I love my little 944. Now that I have a 951 gives me no reason to be so stuck up that I cannot acknowledge that a 944 is still a great car. Just a little bit slower!

Not all 944 owners are enthusiasts. . .
Keep in mind these cars have crappy valuation right now - $5k if you're lucky. Maybe $8k for a turbo - if you're lucky. $10k for a cabriolet - if you're lucky. As such, a lot of "cheapo" types can afford them, buy them so they can say "I got me a Porsche!!!" and don't understand the comradere that a lot of those of us that ARE enthusiasts share.
I always get waves in the 911 though. . . Maybe there's something to be said for them being a bit more expensive/exclusive. A person really has to want one to justify spending the extra money on one. Not so with a 944 or even a 951.

Some people honestly dont have a gnats **** of a reaction though. I was by my sister one day blaring my horn and flailing my arms out like a wild man and she didnt even look over.
Ive driven by 944's on the high way and they dont look until I pull in front of them and wave then slow down. Sometimes peoples moosic is too loud to hear a horn.

ah. yes. I had an encounter with a rude 944 n/a too on saturday after leaving the smog place. I pulled up to this guy at a light but the jerk didnt even look over
oh well. my recently painted 944 did look way cleaner than this guy's trashy 944.

I get that a lot as well. There is an extremely beat up 944 down the street from me and I wave to him and nothing. Oh well, he probably doesn't care about the car. It is simply something to get him from point A to B.

A boxter owner cut me off the other day, I was inside the circle and he was merging into it, he just kept going (instead of yeilding to me of course) We ended up side by side, and I thought that he just trusted me enough to try to say hi in this dangerous manner........ He just took off furiously, didnt even glance over.
And my car is definetly not as nice as most 944s around here but I just got it and am in the process of cleaning it up, but I always aknowledge other porsches.
Theres a guy in my are who has a black 968 who always flashes his lights to me when I see him, Im sure he's a nice guy..... even though I dont know him... LOL

In the DC Metro/Maryland area there seem to be plenty of non-enthusiest 944 owners. Most of them have pretty beat up cars and don't seem to care about the marque in general.
