I think its a 17mm or a 19mm bolt.. pop the black plastic caps off if they are still on there, and turn?

i already had the plastic caps off, but they still wont budge
i also had the correct wrench too.
Im talking about the belt that is mounted to the pillar, not the one mounted to the seat.

The seatbelt bolts are installed with a lot of torque. Get a 1/2" drive socket in 17mm, as well as a nice breaker bar. Should help immensely.

A breaker bar is essentially a long ratchet..that dosent ratchet. It gives you a great amount of leverage.

Yep. With a longer bar, you produce greater amounts of torque. A 10 inch wrench doesn't compare to an 18"+ bar. Put the seat forward as well, so that you can push on it using your weight. Let gravity do the work, just be careful not to slip and round out the bolt head.

Mine came out with little effort. AS Jon pointed out in another thread a 7/16" -20 thread bolt also wrks if you loose your hardware.

BTW Jon I have those grade 8 7/16-20 2" and wshers if you would like for your roll bar. Pm me with address, I will send them gratis for your help.

another trick I do frequently is to slide my jack handle (~5' long) over the end of the breaker bar, giving me essentially a 5' long wrench. I've yet to find a bolt that won't move under that (although I have broken a few sockets).
