There is a 81 924 Carrera GT for sale in my area, but the owner didn't state an asking price. Since the 924 Carrera GT is rare, I really don't even remotely know how much would it worth... Anyone have any idea?
With best regards,
- Alex.

I've seen them sell for close to 30k in the past. This depends on condition and mileage. What it's worth is based on how bad you want it.
Coax him into stating a rough price, and go from there. He who speaks first is at a disadvantage.

Thanks very much.
Any sorry for a very silly question... is the 924 Carrera GT ever sold in the US, or they are all imported from the Europe? If imported, does it make it street-legal in the US?

They were not imported by Porsche, but some have made it here. One of the Assistant District Attoneys was selling his back in December or January and I posted some info. I never heard if he sold it to anyone on here.

25-30k, depending on condition, from what I've heard. Grey market only, 1981 only, and make sure it's real and legit before spending the big bucks. VIN would be a natural place to start.

On a grey market car, I think the laws might be pretty strict, especially in California. You might try calling the DMV. Does it have plates on it now or does the guy just store it?
