Default what are these...???

I'm wondering what these holes are for- the ones w/the red arrows pointing at them specifically... There are holes like these all over the car, underneath carpet of course- there don't appear to be any bolts or anything under them, so I'm just curious. Also, the ones w/the blue arrows- these holes lead to an odd shaped bolt head of some sort & seem to be specific to the rear seat- that's what this pic is of- underneath the seat cushion...

Thanks

Only thing I can think of is water drainage but some of these holes leads to nothing except the enclosed boxed part of the frame...

Sometimes panels have reference holes like this for machine handling and registration of jigs during assembly.

The blue ones, there's an alloy cross-brace that bolt in underneath.

Legoland- water drainage would make sense, except, all of them are underneath carpet... The water drainage points are in the wheel wells & center rear cubby- there are little rubber plugs w/slits in them & the whole plugs can easily be removed to expose the holes...

Steve- reference holes, eh...? Well, maybe that's it, but there certainly are a lot of them- two on each side of the rear seat that I can see here. Also, noticed similar holes in some 928 pics I have & they're all over the place- there are 4 right in a row in the passenger floorboard, etc... I can show many more pics, but it's not that big of deal... was just curious.

Vaughan- that's interesting- I had no idea....

The rear seat area is strange- there seems to be a metal panel over a metal panel- not sure why- seems as though one could be eliminated to save a lot of weight, but I'm sure some structural integrity would be lost, so I'll leave well enough alone...

Robby, I know its under the rear seat as I cut up enough frames to know those holes lead to nowhere. I just can't imagine what else it would be for.
