When I bought my turbo 8 years ago, my mechanic( who had worked for a dealership at one point and races Porsches on the weekends) Told me - these engines aren't really broken in until you hit 150,000. Then people pull them off the road and put them on the track.
Just keep everything up and dont be affraid to do the work on it. Everything IS 20 years old at this point unless recent work has been done to it.
