The Autometer gauge simply splices into the signal wire from your O2 sensor. Honestly it is a very low resolution gauge, more like a toy than an actual tuning tool

I have an innovate LC-1 and innovate gauge. The hardest part was getting wires through the firewall, I poked a hole in the boot around the DME harness and ran the wires to the piggyback/DME. The gauge is only temporaly mounted in the cubby, I will make a bracket at work out of sheet Al and mount it in or next to the cubby. The controller is mounted to the firewall near the stock 02 sensor connector.

I'd go with a wideband if you are wanting to get useful information out of it. I enjoy my PLX M300 and it can do also 0-1v narrowband output (accurate though) if you wanted to have a specific gauge.

Definately get a wide band, the narrow band is only useful in telling you if your O2 sensor is still working. I'm partial to the AEM wideband, you can find them for around $280 shipped.

So the Rennbay kit is a no go?

For $50 I'm guessing it's narrowband.

Yes, Rennbay is narrowband, about the only thing that any narrowband sensor will tell you is if you are way off or way on. Wideband is a must for engine mapping.
