ANOTHER FENDER ROLLING ?

A while back I put 17" cup II wheel on my 84. If I have 2 people in the car or if I hit a spot in the road too fast my left rear will rub against the fender. Just the left side. My car has the factory spacers on the back and the wheel are made early offset. I cannot use the rear wheels without the spacers to bring the wheel in a little (I tried). The wheel will not seat correctly on the hub for some reason. All orignial hubs with spacers on rear. The rubbing isn't real bad but it is chewing the tire a little and it is irritating to have to watch the road for swells and dips and slow down when I see them. I am not talking about ignoring them either. So if I would decide to roll the fenders a little can anyone give me advice on this procedure.

Have you tried to add a little more negative camber. I had some 993 Cups on mine and it did the same thing. The shop increased the neg. camber just a bit (can't remember the number) and it took care of 99% of the problem without rolling the lip. You can always drop the spacers and install shorter studs.

I tired removing the spacers but besides the studs being too long, it didn't feel like the wheel was contacting the hub correctly. It didn't seat on the hub correctly it seemed. Maybe I was wrong about this but it didn't seem correct.

youll need to roll them towards the front of the wheel well like down towards the rocker-not up high like you may think. Ive done a few early cars for people, just get a pipe or a baseball bat and gradually apply pressure as you roll back and forth.
