I agree with what's already posted. The fact that you do not have an indoor garage space for doing this work would ice the decision for me. $3K USD is not bad sounding.

The mechanics around me are $95/hour for the morons... I'd kill for that rate.

Tim, if you had a facility to work on it. I would say do it yourself, but you don't. So get it done proffessionally. Do the sunroof your self though. It is easy enough to do. You could also convert it to manual. Talk to Joe about it.

If teh A/C is leakingt hat an easy fix I did nibe in about 40 mintues and had the system recharged and on the road within 2 hours. If you where closer Iwould do the A/C for ya for beer.

Yea dude. I agree with everyone. If you trust him, let him to do it. I just did the belts, not a hard job but a PITA lol. (ok cake compared to the clutch job, but ya know)

I can see that $3k turning into $5k really quick with the 'while I'm in here...' and the 'found something else...' items...

Beware of 'cheap' maintenance costs -- they add up real fast.
