Default 134a Leak detector - which one to buy?

I am looking for a reccomendation for an electronic 134a leak detector. I saw one model out there for $135.00 manufactured by TIF. Then I have seen $400.00 models manufactured by TIF and others. Any suggestions as to price/performance?

im a certified refridgeration mech. and i say you put a little charge in the system with a bunch of soap on all the spots that you think are leaking and watch for the bubbles. i have a 134a detector but using bubbles is just more useful

What he said. I use the leak detector to get the general location, then bubbles to pin-point the leak.
