Since I went out in the pitch black and bugs to take this picture for you, you officially waive all rights to:
a.) Make fun of the dust in my fuse box
b.) Mind that I am missing: Warning buzzer relay (don't need the annoying noises)
c.) Won't make a comment about me having 10 fuses in place of 7.5's..

That goes for all the rest of you too!

You Guys ROCK!!!!

Thanks alot.

I'll tell you how stupid this situation is..

I'm rebuilding my 944.... I'm hooking up the electrical...

Starter Main Power, THe Line that runs from that to the ALternator, The Ground that goes to the starter etc..

I turn the key and it comes alive, it cranks and everyting but I noticed a large voltage drop so I'm thinking that there is a massive short somewhere in the car..

I spend about 4 Hours troubleshooting the fuses, then the relays, then the individual wires.

I'm looking in there saying... Hmmm G-17 Relay, Blower Motor... "Don't have one of those" and remove it...

You have to remember that at that time I'm a bit pissed and "Sleep Drunk"

In messing around, the Body Ground wire contacts the body and the entire car (What Was Left Of It) comes alive, the ECU, the Dash... Everything.. It was just that the ground was not hooked up. I'm completely blown away becasuse I have the engine grounded in three places to the batery, yet ground never made it to the body of the car.. Oh well...

Haha. Just checking, there isn't supposed to be a ground going to the starter btw, just the positive battery cable and the positive from teh alternator to the same post. It gets it's ground from the attachment to the engine block.. the small wire to the alternator is the ignition key switch wire.

Chris, it's probably the years of sitting at the keyboard. My left eye's already got astigmatism.. ugh.

BTW i have to get around to posting a thread with my completed pics of my car.

I'm confused, did you add an additional ground? There is no ground wire for the starter.
