pretty sure that looks like an F430 cab......

my car is so weird....

once i raced an M3 (E36) i was by myself in my car, and he had 2 friends in his car (admittedly, one was a girl that looked like she weighed 50 lbs), and i kept with him shift for shift.

needless to say i was dissapointed.

next time i raced him (same E36 M3), he was totally alone in his car, i had a 2nd passenger (i'd say ~180, 190 lbs) and he got the jump on me (both races were freeway, LATE night, cold night, i'd say maybe 70-120), and at first my front fender was at his exhaust pipe.

then my front fender was at his door.

then my front fender was even with him,

then my exhaust was at his front fender.

then i just kept pulling.

this made no sense to me AT ALL.....

man, my car is weird.

edit- then, the month after that, i pulled on a brand new M3.

my car....needs to be more consistent.

if i decide to go dummy-retarded with the 951, i think an F430 would be my target in terms of handling and straight line performance.

that is, assuming i dont just take it back to stock, and just add coilovers.

and buy a C5 Z06 or something........

A well-modified MR2 turbo will hand even a modded 951's *** to it any day of the week - even in twisties. I've witnessed this first-hand. Ain't nothin' like a mid-engine. Not even 50/50 weight distribution can compete.

most people driving MR or RR cars dont know what they're doing and usually end up swapping ends on their cars.

50/50 FR is the easiest to drive fast, and look good while doing it.

admittedly, a strong case can be made for MR or RR, but i dont think there's anything very definitive that says one style is better than another.

expecialy in street cars.

Having owned a couple of MR-2 Turbos and currently a 951 I have to agree provided you're talking about a '93+ MR-2. The first couple of years were a handful at the limit and the suspension was revised in '93 along with bigger brakes.

I'm sure there are lots of 951s which will destroy lots of MR-2 turbos and visa-versa. But take a '93 MR-2 and a '89 951 in about the same condition, add in $5,000 worth of mods to the motor and suspension and my money is on the Toyota.

nah, it was all freeway racing, and i at least know how to shift, lol.

sometimes i do a little thing where as i'm shifting, i somehow start slipping the clutch, building boost during the shift, so when i get into the gear, it's already at full boost, but i've neever seen a real difference, and i can only assume it puts more wear on the clutch.....
