Yah! The S is next to impossible to find these days. Can you use a S2 head in place of the older S unit?

My stock head is fine - just need to finish rebuilding the engine.......I also have a spare servicable head and spare camshafts. One tooth on my original intake camshaft is missing, by the looks of it the tooth has been gone for a long time.

I know they were only made for NA for two years, 87 and 88 - mine's an 87, Guards Red with blk/tan interior.

Thanks man .

I used stainglass paint, took me all of 10mins to do it.

I bought a set of stock tail lights from a buddy, just incase I ever wanted to go stock again.

their are plenty of S models out there. I have seen a bunch on autotrader.

the S2 head will not bolt on to an s motor. you would have to do modifications.

Saw your car at the PCA meet on Sunday in Dundareve - looks stunning! I really like the tail treatment and I'm really tempted to buy some testers candy red clear and do the same but I'm concerned it'll devalue the car....am I nuts? After all, it is a super uber-rare '86 944

It might attack the price of the car abit, which is why I have a 2nd set of mint stock tail lights sitting right next to me .
