I replaced my center console with a black one and also replace the tan door panels with black ones. Next DIY will be a stage 2 intercooler from Lindsey Racing.

well, I worked in a garage for a bit, so its tough to distinguish between what I did there and DIY jobs...

first DIY I did on my own car was touching up scratches on the front of my mom's volvo station wagon (the car I learned to drive in...we weren't all lucky enough to start off in a porsche...)

first DIY I'll be doing on the porsche is replacing the shift boot, probably followed shortly thereafter by replacing the seats

First Porsche DIY was replacing a worn shift lever.

First ever DIY on my own car was an altenator on a '79 280ZX. There was tons of room to work on that car compared to my 951.

Oil pan gasket and rod bearings. What's with us 944 owners and doing the hard things like a clutch as the first thing?

I suspect it's because a lot of people thought they were getting "cheap" Porsche!

I think on the 924S it was either replacing the muffler with a SuperTrapp, which has since been replace with a cat back from SFR, or it was deleting the AC. I can't remember. Most of my previous DIY had to do with high end bicycles.

The first month I had my 944 I did:
-new sunroof hinges
-new door handle parts/seals
-sport seats
-fixed loose noise making objects behind glovebox
-new intake boot/K&N filter
-coolant flush/new hoses
-rebuild AC compressor
-h4 headlights

Hardest thing yet was getting the F*cking AC compressor back in.

Thought I'd add since mine is a little unusual...
First DIY was an old cattle sprayer that needed a little bit of motor R&R and new plumbing routed. I was 14 and after a summer had the coolest water gun ever!

First DIY was on my first (real) car, an '81 MB 300D. I changed the PS belt.
A few months later, I had my first 944 DIY: clutch. It took me 6 months.
