Default Last major mechanical thing to do... transmission

Fellow 'listers and casual passer-byers... I've been getting the '88 NA up to where I wanted it over the last 16 months and like you have dropped some serious time and money in it to restore it to a once proud display of fine automobile engineering; however, there is one last major hurdle... the transmission. The transmission runs fine but leaks and after seeing potent's post on his transmission cleanup I've had enough...

What can you reseal on this beast without dropping the whole thing? I just don't feel like having drop the thing to fix three possible leakage areas...

Endplate? Cover? Driveshaft seals?

Thanks...

75ohm.

The only thing you can really replace without dropping it, are the differential/output shaft seals, which are likely to be making much of the mess - so they would be a good thing to replace.
