I'm sure that's true, but the question was specifically about Turbo S cars, and they use larger 928S brakes, amongst other differences.

Late offset (et 52mm) 8x16 phone dials do fit on the front of 88-89TS. 7's do Not fit over the 928S4 calipers, but 8's absolutely do. I ran several sets of 8x16 PDs on all four corners of two of my 89 Turbos for DE/track use for several years.

The only 9" PDs are the Turbo Cup magnesium wheels.

Thanks Oddjob...I new that I had seen PD's on a 951 S car at DE events in the past. That's the ticket, 8's All Around.

Oop, I hadn't thought of putting the rear phone dials on the front.

I used to use 944 Turbo Cup (magnesium) phone dials on my 89 Turbo. The 16X8 fronts offsets are 52.3 vs 60 stock and the 16X9 57.0 vs 52.3 stock in the rear. The Cup wheels are lighter than the forged stock wheels, fronts weigh 17 1/4 lbs vs 19 1/4 lbs and the rears weigh 17 3/4 lbs vs 22 1/2 lbs. Just my .02 worth.
