Also look on e-bay. I saw that someone was making an aftermarket pipe with a cat and everything.

I plan on doing that when I go back to Waco where there is no emissions testing; for now I just need to get my car to pass inspection so I can get the damn thing registered (bought it out of state...)

Are you sure that it is the cat that is causing it to fail. Mine failed because my AFM was not adjusted properly. Took it to the shop and then bam passed with flying colors. Check that first. Because I know my car with no cat will pass fine.

Yes, with some cutting and welding the oval Magnaflow ones do fit the original exhaust system. Just angle it so one seam clears the wastegate pipe and the other clears the body.

I still have some VM’s left, just PM me for the details.

I have an NA, but I used the MagnaFlow Carsound cat Model No. 53006. (It's 2.5" in/out). I upgraded my 2 1/4" pipe to 2 1/2". It's a lot smaller than stock and fits fine on the NA. I bought it from Summit Racing for around $ 80 and had a local shop cut the old one out and weld it in.

here's my plan for the cat. i found a shop who will remove it. in its place will be a 'cherry bomb' type muffler. then at the back will be a magnaflow resonator.
all this will be done in 3 inch dia pipe.
best part $210 total cost! and they didn't give me any grief about removing the cat.
