NorCal- 4th Wentworth Springs-Ice House Rd. Fun Run - 6/24
I am setting up the 4th Wentworth Springs-Ice House Rd. Fun Run for Saturday, June 24th. All P-cars, German cars, and sports cars are welcome from beaters to beauties. Water-cooled or air-cooled, it doesn't matter, this is all about driving.
Meet in Georgetown at 9:00-9:30, get coffee, sandwiches (for lunch later), swap lies, great photo ops. The snow pack is still hanging in there so the scenery should be awesome, bring cameras and video. Many here have done this trip a few times now. We bring a bag lunch and stop at Loon Lake (6,000') for photos and more lies and excuses.
We have a pre-meet east of Sacto. at Sunrise and Hwy 50 at 7:45 for those wanting to caravan to Georgetown. Please use the parking lot on the right side of the Marriot entrance, much more room for this many cars. Pre-meet map and Google address posted below. We leave no later than 8:15. What's nicer than a long string of Porsches in the early morning?
Pre-Meet at Hwy. 50 and Sunrise-Marriot Hotel parking lot 7:45-8:15

klassand (Karen and Dave) - 944S
Juans's friend Steve - 911 Cab
Chuck Jones - 996
Juan's friend 1- Audi A4
zbeeblebro (Alek) - 944
Let me know, I'm going one way or another and the company is good! We also are going to do the Silver Fork-Mormon Emigrant Trail and back to Hwy. 50 at Pollock Pines for those with a bit more time. Those having to be home earlier can bail at Hwy. 50 and Ice House Rd. Brad is from Santa Rosa and was home by 3 last time taking First Leg only. For those of you liking to stretch your wings a bit and drive, Mormon Emigrant is a one of a kind ridge route with fast wide open straights and good curves with nearly zero traffic. Ask those on last years run...nuf said.
These are some very fun roads with everything from tight 180's to wide banked sweepers. The scenery is well worth the drive.
Here's a map of the route:
FIRST LEG
Georgetown via Wentworth Springs to Ice House Road (34 miles)
Loon Lake to Ice House Rd to Hwy 50 (34 miles)
Back to Hwy. 50 by 12:30
__________________________________________________
SECOND LEG
Silver Fork Rd. to Mormon Emigrant Trail (17 miles)
Mormon Emigrant Trail (25 miles)
Is MET lonely enough for you?
Hwy.88 Carson Pass Sidetrip
Back to Hwy. 50 by 2:30
More details to follow once we get closer to the date.

Chris, let me know if you need help, seriously, I'd hate to have you ride in Roger's car instead of passing him in yours.
You can count me in. Usually I'd say no because of the distance, but a) I'm feeling good vibes for this one, and b) Chris is going so I have no excuse on distance. I'll see if my brother wants to come again.

Wish I could come! I'll be in my BarBri class down at Stanford. Think of me, sitting on my *** and listening to dull lectures, while you're tearing up those corners.
