Clutch feels like rubber center is gone on a new spring clutch

Crazy as it sounds, did you check your throttle position switch? I swore when I let off the gas the clutch was slipping. Turned out the TPS didn't slow the engine down, and it was actually speeding up when I coasted. Changed the TPS, problem solved.
Not sure if that's your problem though....

well when changing out a bad rubber center clutch, you get a spring center one. when you first drive it, it seems wierd, almost like a bad rubber center (the rubber center one is MUCH smoother). I had the center go in my 90 cabby. I would look at the tranny mount(mine was shot) and that made it similar to the bad clutch. It also made a cv go in my car which i had to replace.
