Thumbs up Describe your fondest moment in your 951...

I'm currently in the market for a 951, because I hear they're pretty fantastic cars. I'm coming from the BMW community, and they all have stories about an experience they had with their cars that they will never forget, etc etc.

So tell me about yours. Why do you just love that car? What is your fondest memory in it or with it?

Cheers,

-Evan

I'd have to say it was the first time I ran it up to redline after my K27/6 Vitesse MAF conversion...boost is highly addicting, beware!

I've only had mine a week, so I suppose the best part at this point was driving it back home 800 miles with zero problems

I've had mine for 2 months and I'll never forget driving it for the 1st time with my brother video taping it in the passenger seat.

Hmmm probably the first two or three days I had it. Woke up at 6AM to drive to Seattle, drove it back, drove old car to work, worked till 2AM (worked nights, 10 hour shift), went home, took the 951 out for some driving till 630AM (notice that I havent slept in over 24 hours now ). Slept for a few hours till like 10AM, then woke up and started tinkering and such. I think in the first week of ownership, I might have slept 20 or 24 hours total.

This is a 944 story, but it could happen with a 951 too:
One summer afternoon I'm standing at the traffic light, and suddenly I feel that a car hit me (very lightly) from the back. I get out of the car to inspect damage - there was none. I look at the driver and it's a pretty hot looking chic. She's all smiles, act very cute, and goes: 'I'm soooo sorry", and so on. Well, I don't have any doubt that she bumped me intentionally. Too bad I was rather seriously commited at that time, and couldn't take advantage of the whole situation.
So if you want to spice up your life, 951 definitely can be an asset.

The day I scared the **** out of my father-in-law. The in-laws were over for a couple days and one night I asked my father-in-law if he wanted to go for a drive.....he was for it and so off we went. He is kind of old so I didnt want to give him a heart attack or anything but he was blabbering about something and when I got to the freeway on-ramp I just punched it...........we were seeing 100+ before we even got on to the freeway.....it was funny because he stopped talking right in the middle of his sentence......then when I slowed it down a bit he just picked up right where he left off and started talking again. I heard from my wife the next day that her mother said my father-in-law was scared for his life that night.......but he did say it was a nice car....lol
