Default RS Style Alcantara Interior Progress

Obviously not done, but coming along. Need to get the center console and the a-pillars covered. Waiting for a second set of door panels so I can start cutting them up and figuring out exactly what I want to do with them. And I need to redo all the carpet but that's waiting until the rollbar is out for the new hotness

Rob M Budd did the dash recover and it looks GREAT! I cant wait to work with him again.

Hey,

I'm getting set to do RS style door panels myself. I may splurge and get the pulls and junk from Appbiz, but I plans on using 1/16th inch thick phenolic boards to fabricate the lower portion of the door panels. I figure it will be better and lighter than the 1/8th inch hardboard other folks have been using and is cheap to boot from McMaster-Carr.

Hmmm....

I'd guess that the phenolic would be much heavier. That stuff is DENSE.

And hardboard isn't? Plus, you can't find hardboard as thin as phenolic and it is very strong.

That looks great!

Where did you source the Alcantara material? I imagine it's a bit pricey...since you only see it in high end sports cars, mostly.
