I know, 6 year thread bump, yadayada, but

Just to clarify- a turbo shroud will NOT fit an NA radiator. It's too tall. If anybody reads this and wants to upgrade to 6 blade fans, if you use the whole assembly, use a late NA one, not a turbo.

i'm not sure if the shroud/fans i bought were na or turbo but they bolted right up to the '84na & had no rubbing of lower hose issues & fans stayed on after engine shutoff, just like the later models.

i'd forgotten about this thread & actually traded away the 951 in '09.

BTW this is what happens when you use 6 blade on an early car without trimming blades or using late cooling hose...

Edit: Is now coated with many layers of liquid electrical tape until I get a new hose

Here's my theory:

-If you use late n/a ASSEMBLY in early car, no issues whatsoever.

-If you use late FANS in EARLY assembly, there will be rubbing on coolant hose.

-You CAN'T use a turbo assembly on an n/a, but you CAN use the fans.

it's ez to see when putting the bottom bolt on the right side if it's going to rub.

i've got 3 late clusters if you're interested + a bunch of switches out of an '87 944S if interested.
