Default So I have one of those glowing center tail light deals...

...and I want it OFF. I hate the way it looks at night and during the day you can tell the lens has faded. I found just a standard, red reflective lens with 'Porsche' on it that I plan to mount in its place that doesn't illuminate.

Question is, can I just cap off the wires going to the lens and be done with it since they won't be used? Does it just plug in somewhere? I haven't really investigated too much so I'm wondering what I'll find and what to do to complete the replacement.

Experiences? Thanks.

from what ive seen they are usually wired into the old license plate lights and you would want to un-wire them.
