Why does my dream car have to be on the other side of the continent?

If that car was on the west coast, I would buy it.

I think the "why isn't it closer" excuse is lame! What's a 1 way plane ticket cost, $400-500? Then a couple hundred in gas money and a hotel or two and its home! Get a round trip ticket if you're worried you'll want to back out when you get there.

Sure, towing a car a couple thousand miles home is a pain, but driving something like this home would be a blast!

funny...i did that with a 928s4..i bought it as a present for my wife..she was none to happy with me on that one. She is trying to convince me to keep it, but we really need to get the wall done this year(and I have another one)

When you can't sell a nice (rare) S2 convertible in JUNE, something's wrong in the world!

Just had a nice talk with Nick on the phone....If a cab fit my needs right now I'd buy it in a heartbeat and sell my coupe! Doesn't make sence for me to have a cab at the moment ( no garage space, small kids, etc) so I'll stick with what I just got...but somebody should buy this car!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes if you are serious you usually have to travel. If that car were on the West Coast it'd cost more.
My cabrio is from Atlanta, my 928 is from the Twin Cities. My old S2 sold to guy in Ohio, my 951 sold to a guy in Arkansas.

Good luck even finding an S2 with an LSD, let alone a cabrio. A car like this should be in the Pano classifieds, Auto Trader, etc.

What he said. I spent 12 hours on a train through Germany from Amsterdam to Zürich to buy my 951 cab and then drove 600 miles to bring it home.

Indeed, it was a blast!

I can also say that when I met Nick, to look at my (now) S2 Coupe it was clean as a whistle!
