Last Call- Nor Cal / Sacto - Lake Berryessa-Clear Lake Fun Run-May 29th
I'm starting a new thread to keep this simple. There's an informal Fun Run this Monday the 29th. It's open to all Rennlisters no matter what they drive, please no minivans. The central meeting place is at the junction of Hwy. 128 and Berryessa-Knoxville Road at a large dirt parking area on 128 just east of the junction. We are meeting up at 9 am. If anyone wants to caravan from Sacramento we will be meeting up at Bakers Square in West Sac at 7:45. We will need to leave no later than 8. The general route from Sac. is Hwy 128 through Winters; from the Bay Area it's: From Napa take Hwy 121 to Hwy 128 and turn left for 5 miles. Our route will skirt the west side of the lake on Berryessa-Knoxville Rd. then turn N/W at Pope Valley Rd/Butts Canyon Rd which makes a long secluded run to Middletown through canyons and valleys. From Middletown we cross town and take Big Canyon Rd. north to Hwy 29 near Lower Lake. We will grab lunch in Lower Lake and can try a few routes back to our prospective homes. I think I'll backtrack over Boggs Mt. and come down Hwy. 175 to Middletown and retrace my steps but will take Lower Chiles Valley road rather than go past the lake again. Here's a few maps of the meeting areas and times. The AAA 'North Bay Counties' map covers the entire route but I'll print some up for drivers.

i dont think Erika's up for 2 runs in one weekend.
you know what, i might actually make it.
depending on timing, cuz i have to help my dad install some flooring.
looks like a damned good run, Steve.
here's hoping I can make it
edit-
you forgot to include in your exclusions Toyota tacomas or 1/2 ton trucks full of lawnmowers.........

I'm going to be based out of Berkeley for much of the summer. So the question is going to be how to avoid the Napa valley madness -- or just join the madness and go wine-tasting afterwards....

Yeah I'm in, alright! But I think it'll be a little too far to drag 2 cars out there so my bro will just ride shotgun with me in the 968. I guess that means I only have one car to wash...
Roger, you should bring the 944 2.7 and break it in!

I can't make it. The car will be getting some electronics mods done on Sunday, and that means it will take me Sunday and Monday to do it. Plus the new clutch still isn't in, and that makes me uncomfortable.
Take lots of pics for me por-favor.
