Any chance to run the P-car is a good day. Glad you didn't whack the barrier. More fun than I had driving the SUV today.

That auto-x course probably feels different than it looks in the video.
In the vid it looks pretty dull, I guess it always feels faster when you run it. I should record the auto-x courses we set up around here, they're kind of neat.
That was damn close on that barrier..... I recall watching it the last time, but I don't remember it being THAT close!!

Anyhoo, the moral of the story is cameras and helmets don't mix, cone killer

Hey.. I only got 1 cone on that run. The camera was a pain, was all the way right as I could get it.

As far as why it happened.... cold tires, crown in the center, and inexperience.

LOL, I'm just being a jerk.
On the local auto-x, runs are ~70 seconds, and I'll normally hit 1 cone every 2 or 3 runs. Then again ours is setup on the infield of the oval, and includes a brief jog around 1/2 of the oval, so the only guard rail you get close to is on the infield, there is a figure 8 where the track is only 30 feet between the cone and the wall at ~50km/h during a hard left-hander.
But, somehow one fellow managed to smash his 90's rx-7 into the wall at the finish line, where there is a rather large margin of safety.....

I always wanted to secure a camera to tape my runs, would really help me figure out where I'm losing time. How did you mount yours?
