Default 924 Hot-start-hot-weather problem resolution

My car is a '79 924 with about 78K miles. The car was very difficult to start (lots of cranking) on a hot day in Texas after sitting for about 45 minutes after driving. It did not sound like the "usual" 924 hot-start problem. After some investigation and trial and error, I found the fuel accumulator would develop a slight gas leak around the center screw on the bottom (was not loose) after driving for a while in hot weather but would be dry after the same drive on a cold morning. If I started it within 20 minutes in warm weather, the car started OK. If I waited longer than 45 minutes, it was a struggle. I did not do a fuel pressure test but am assuming the leak caused a loss in fuel pressure. Replaced the fuel accumulator and the problem was resolved. Thought I'd pass it along.
Thanks!
TG

Nice work! I battled with a hot start problem for 5 months when I first bought my 944... My problem was the FPR.
