Default 44Cup parts list?

Hey 44Cup guys... I've been searching on the Cup sites and looking at some of the rules links, everything just seems to refer back to SCCA/NASA rule books...

Is there such a thing as a 44Cup parts shopping list? Years ago I had looked into running the SpecRX7 series and there was a document I had that listed the spec shock, spec spring, spec sway bars, tires, wheels, etc. I was hoping to find something similar of the 44Cup series.

As I continue to modify my car I'd like to keep it within those specs so that if/when I decide to move from DEs to racing it, I have a car that is very close to being race ready, rather than having to undo mods previously done.

Here is a post on the spec 944 forums regarding a basic buildout sheet. I don't know where the rules differ as I am building mine to spec 944 class rules, but it is certainly a good place to start as they allow interior stripping but for the most part (A/C not included) the motor must stay stock.

There's a list of parts for 944spec, but not 944cup. There is no spec shock, tire, etc. Wheels would depend on who's rules you develop the car to, i.e. an ITS spec car would have 15 or 16x7 wheels. Prepare to either SCCA ITS rules or PCA Stock or prepared rules, meet the minimum weight, and go racing.

Kurt.. is there a shock/spring set up that is more common in the Spec series? That'll probably be the next thing I tackle. Been keeping my open for the 968 bars, unless those are not what people are using.

Eric, thanks for that link! Good info, it does give me a good idea on where to start.

The shocks are spec:
Koni Fronts 8641-1038 Sport, 8641-1414 Sport
Rear 26-1209 Sport, 8040-1035 Sport
or
Bilstein: Front P30-0104, AK1110, AK1111
Rear B36-0161, B36-2052
You can run any springs in the front, and a maximum 30mm torsion bar in the rear. You can't run coilovers in the rear. So I'd run 30mm solid bars in the rear and about a 375 or 400lb spring in the front. Others may chime in otherwise here. You can run camber plates so go ahead and get them when you swap out the fronts.
Bars are free, either get welts or 968 M030 bars.

anyone else have different ideas?

I agree with that when building a 944 spec car.

I personally run 350 fronts, and welt bars.

Now if you are building 944 cup car... buy spherical bearings and a $2000 set of ledas with coil over rears and 700 lbs-in spring rates.
