Default Inspections

Were both passed in the state of Virginia. I bought the car 3 1/2 weeks ago and I've been working on it most days. There are a few things I needed to do to insure that the inspections were passed and now they are out of the way. Now I can register the car in VA, get my vanity plates and continue working on the car.

The short list is:

Timing and balance belts. I know, the parts are already in my possession.
New water pump.
Rollers for the belts.
Rebuilding both control arms and replacement of the right end link and bushing followed by an alignment.
Replacement of my clutch release bearing. It's making a noise it shouldn't be making.

And a hundred other things that will need done or could use attention.

I'd post a couple of photos of the new car but I don't know how to post photos to the site.

BTW, it's a 1989 944S2.

You didn't need to get an inspection done to register your car. I actually got my 951 inspected after I got my vanity plates.

I understand that.

However, I purchased the car in Maryland so I am on 60 day Maryland tags. I preferred to get the inspections done before I register the car and pay the sales tax in Virginia.

I purchased mine in South Carolina. I got temporary VA tags off the internet for $5. They last 8 days.

I'm at the other end of Lawyers Road from you, cjeckert. Near Fox Mill Shopping Center.
