Haha, what a joke. $4404 for an '83 944 in poor condition? Mine is border-line good/poor and i'd be happy to sell it for HALF of that - with brand new koni yellows all around and manual steering. Excellence is completely out of touch with the real market apparently.

Remember that the "real market" includes impulse buyers, noobs, posers, etc. I fall into that first group...paid a little more than I should have 'cause I didn't know enough yet when I pulled the trigger.
