Default Sold the 88 951... Have you ever seen seats like these?

I am in the process of reducing 27 cars and 5 motorcycles down to less than 10 cars and 1 bike. The second to go was the $8k 88 951 though I hated to see it go as it has a PERFECT INTERIOR with full leather (including seat back and rear seats) 12 way HEATED seats (driver and passenger) I have never seen those on any other 944 or 951. This car has a perfect dash and yes Jeff its cleaner than any car you have (for your comment about my cars being cosmetically challenged ). Next on the chopping block is the 89 turbo S with 82k miles for $6.5k...

Yep. I took pictures of the seats because I don't think I will run across another set like them. Heck these have power lumbar adjustments that feels like a massage chair as it pumps up.

Wow, some sweet bikes!! I've got a Nina 250R I just gave to a buddy today, old CB550, and my CBR600F3. The R1 is the definition of bad - ***. I've been thinking an R6 or 600RR will be my next bike (in a year or two..)
ride safe!

As for the 944s, I have 14 n/a 944s and 2 turbos left (88 daily driver and the 89 S). The 89 needs body work done but runs and drive well with original 82k miles and faster than $hit. Its probably going on ebay or craigslist for $6.5k as is.

Actually, I forgot to count the spec car to be in the garage and the one on the trailer, which makes the count 16. I think Brian (Beeg) took some pictures when he came up from Australia last time.

Great, now I don't like my seats.

Bearone- I was in Maui last week wondering if there were any 944's or 951's- you just answered my question. Great place to live!

Not meaning to hijack, but I'm wondering why you guys with tons of posts don't spend the $20 or so to become members? Maybe you guys don't get any technical help or don't feel that you're getting a lot for free? I'm not trying to judge anyone, just curious.

wont you have to get a dealership license because you are selling so many cars? isn't the max like 3 cars a year or something pathetic like that?

I have leather seats exactly like the ones in your pictures...but my leather is starting to crack and my new mechnic is a little rough and has torn some of theleather.

Any suggestions as to what I should do?

Justitia, if you have these seats and they are torn, its worth taking another pair of seats apart just to use the good leather off them. I have seen 100s of 944s and never seen another pair with 12 way controls especially in the passenger side. That way you have the original leather on them. Otherwise, have them reupholstered and keep them around. They are rare.

If you bought the cars with the intent to make a profit, then you need a dealer's license even if you are selling ONE car here in CA. I have been accumulating these cars for about 15 years and pretty much never advertised it for sale and even when I do, its to get my $ back out of the car or trade for something I wanted. Many of these cars in the past were sent to heaven so many of the locals can have free parts (heck I even gave Danno a free motor and had him as a roommate for 2 weeks while we installed it in my garage a while back). I had these cars in my "collection" paying much $ for registration etc until I bought a house with a big enough yard for these cars (pretty hard in S. Ca.). Now, I am expecting my first kid in 6 months, I am trying to simply my life.

As far as the "guys don't get any technical help or don't feel that you're getting a lot for free", I come here as an enthusiast trying to help others out as you can see from my previous posts. Any of you guys been here a while know what types of stuff I post as there is nothing on a 944 I have not done at one time or another. I don't care to go to the OT section as its a waste of time and there are lots of junk cause animosity between people.

There has been a lot of for sale threads by others in the past but I doubt anyone here bought parts (even though I have a 20 ft container full of spare parts and 3 parts cars) or a car from me since I dont sell much of anything anywhere let alone here. Its why I didn't post anything here until I sold the car. Its not worth my time and if I did this for a living, I wouldn't be semi retired with no debt at 39 years old letting $70k worth of cars and parts sit in my yard so I can look at them. To me, its a big lego set where I get to put things together and pull them apart. I guess I didn't get enough of it when I was a kid.

I just remember a thread back where people on other forums (pelican, m3 forum) were criticizing people here being snobby and how people who are not members were pressured into getting one. I proved them wrong and got right back in their face in their own thread when I asked them how I am still around if that's the case.
