Nicely done. Hopefully you'll have an airbag version soon and I'll have the money. This will enable to move a bit closer to having the interior all black instead of tan/black.

I've used 3M and DAP Weldwood contact cement on the main sections of the dashes and sometimes Barge on the corners and underside.

I happen to have an Adler 167-273 double needle machine for sale. $950. I'll crate it and you pay the freight. I think it'll be about 300 lbs when crated.
When I pulled the old skin off, it came off very easily and left the foam intact except for the cracks. Its not glued.
I'm sure vacuum forming would work but I don't have any experience working with it. I've thought about making something up in my shop, but I just haven't had the time.

edit - Do you have a pic of one installed?

The one I have was fitted to the car to be sure it fit OK, but it was in a wrecking yard so there wasn't any point in keeping it there and I didn't have my camera so I missed the opportunity to get a picture.

Thanks Rob,
Another machine is all I need, my wife would blow a gasket! I'll keep using my old 1952 Singer 4114 workhorse and I have a Juki commercial I'm cleaning up to sell. I don't think most people realize what a commercial machine weighs...just the head on the Singer is almost more than I can lift out of the table without help, add the knee lift/foot rocker and 1.5 HP motor and it's a real hog. Have you tried putting your cover on a dash 'in the car' yet? Anyway, I think you have a great product that will go far and is certainly needed. Good Luck

Have you considered making a cover for the 993? Seems like this would be a great untapped market.

Yep. All I need is someone to volunteer a dash core.

Regarding the install:
You have to peel off the current vinyl and put contact cement on the existing foam? Does the foam tend to suck up the contact cement?
It looks very nice.
Question:
Can it be done the same way without the stitching?

It can be done without the stitching, but its harder to put on. The stitching allows for the contours.
