Scott, I certainly plan to do exactly that, back off the boost. When I was on the dyno I wish I had done a few extra runs to get my HP at different boost levels. I've been advised that each LB is about 13-15HP, so I can guess pretty good by watching the boost gauge. There is no way I was planning to attack a new track with that HP, it will be too much. BUT, Watkins has a couple of straights where you can really wind it out, and if a Z06 is pushing me I may be tempted. I'm sure that **** is like a self regulated morphine drip, I probably should have mounted it somewhere out of reach!

If you can manage not to run into a wall during an auto-x, a stock seat with four-six point system should be ok and keep you firmly planted. I think that’s what I will do. I’m not frilled about turning my street car into a race car. But then again driving fast is inherently dangerous to begin with, and opening the windows and wearing a heavy helmet doesn’t do much as far as keeping your arms on and neck straight.
The one thing I have learned is that there are more opinions than harness mounting points out their.

If the stock seat had headrest holes, then it'd be fine for use with a 4+ point harness. But it doesn't and that means it *should not* be used! Period. Budget the money for a set of seats with headrest holes. If you don't want to turn your street car into a race car, consider a set of seats like mine, the recaros I have recline and are very comfortable for street use. Get John's (Redline man) rollbar, you don't have to drill any holes to install it. That way your car is still totally streetable and you can easily reverse what you've done.
As far as heavy helmets, spend the cash and get a carbon/kevlar one. They're not that expensive and they're significantly lighter. Get a neck brace too.

As tempting as new seats are there are 3 financial issues I must handle first:
1. New summer and snow tires = 800.00-1100.00
2. Fixing whatever the hell is giving me start problems (most likley TPA) = free-1200.00
3. Getting my damn motorcycle licence and car inspected=300.00
new seats will put me in the broke catagory, and I need the cheapest (but safest..) way out possible.
BTW: does any1 have pics of the H-belts installed? I am curious to see what they look like. thx
