Default Deutsches Motorfest

If you haven't yet heard, there's going to be an awesome all German car party in the Sacramento area this coming September. There will be live music by Mumbo Gumbo, good beer, great brats, and lots of German cars. This is a 2 day event from Sept. 23-24 at the El Dorado county Fairgrounds in Placerville, CA. Theres going to be industry vendors, and some very speacial cars including a 956 and possibly a 962. I'd really like to see a strong rennlist and Porsche contingency there.

You can get more information and register online at www.deutschesmotorfest.com

Thanks,
Dan.

Dan,
So am I the 1st to register? Having the PayPal option is a good idea, that's what I used. I plan to be there with Karen or Travis and Ryan will bring the 325iX. I'd would go just for the brats and beer.

let's say i bring the 951, myself and my girlfriend, is that 3 tickets, or is my ticket covered in the show and shine?

No. Show and shine admission comes with 2 adult weekend (2-day) passes, and kids in the car under 12 are free.

Cheers.

Sounds fun! I hope to come for one day. Maybe we'll have a Bay Area group take a ride up there.

You mean you'll actually wash your car and put a functional flame arrestor on your tail pipe just for the show? I think Dan should set the 951's up according to the height of the owners. That way Juan and I are as far apart as possible. Put me near the beers and brats and Juan near the Wi-Fi so his post count doesn't suffer over the weekend

You can bring as many hijos as you can cram under the hatch. Just keep them on a leash. . . I mean supervised. Lost children will mixed into the brats, Yum!

About parking next to each other, theres a Denny's parking lot right next to the gate, and a huge parking lot for the county buildings just up the road from the gate, so it shouldn't be a problem to meet there and caravan in. If you let the staff know you all want to park together, it won't be a problem.

We have more german cars than drivers in my family... I should recruit some friends to help me bring my whole fleet:

944, 928S, 968, VW GTI, Merc 300TD, Merc ML320. And we have a Merc 560SEL and my own 944, but those two will be sold by September.

You sack of poop, you'll be in SoCal. I probably won't go either. There, our family's problem = solved.

Did I miss something here? This should be a great venue I hope repeats every year. Be there unless gas is $5/gal.

Sorry Steve, that's my brother trying to be funny. He's right though, in September I'll have already moved to SoCal for grad school, so I can't make it to Deutsches MotorFest. But 959lover should go with his GTI, or maybe (if he feels lucky) he can borrow dad's 928 and hope it doesn't short circuit that day.
