Default 924 GTS nose panel on 944

Does anyone know if the 931 turbo vented nose panel will fit directly in place of the header panel on my '84 944? I'm asking becasue I want to start piecing together the parts to make my car look like a 924 GTS, god they look cool as hell.

OR would it be easier to find a header panel for a 944 and modify it myself for that cheese grader look?

it will fit, although you may need to drill the holes to bolt it onto your car, and yours maybe welded on as well.

Should fit right up, except for the pain of drilling out all of your existing spot welds to get your header panel off.
Xsboost, I love your Euro front bumper!

WOW, that looks sweet. I hadn't thought about using the hood pins like that one, one part of me likes it, and the other doesn't, its almost ricer-like. Now I need a good paint scheme....

Iv'e also been thinking of a wide body kit too, but those two still look pretty neat with standard width fenders.

The problem im having is finding a damn nose panel that dosent need body work! The last two i have come across needed to be drilled off the front clip, both looked like someone sat on the panel and have creases along the center, where the airvane underneath them rests.

The blue one needs a ridiculous amount of body work to be straight again and im not sure what to do with it. Either sell it or hang it on my wall. The lower one needs some work and is at the body shop waiting to get done.

The first panel i had was far from perfect when i bought it and took a few months to get painted, it lasted two weeks and is defenetley pretty far from perfect now..

But it did look awsome!

Ouch, nothing a little bondo can't fix
In regards to the wider fenders, I have seen people roll out their fenders rather than get actuall wider ones. I know a guy who claims he did this with a baseball batt on his CRX. I also know someone somewhere, I don't know who tho, makes a tool that bolts onto your hub when the wheel is removed, and is used to roll out the fenders. I wonder how this would work, and look on a 944. But I do know that I am too scared to pioneer it, especially since I dont have an extra set of fenders laying around.

Has anyone here tried this, or have pictures of it done on a 944?

That tool is generally used to roll the fenders so you can stuff a larger wheel and tire combo under the fender. Not really to give the car a wide body look. And yes, using an aluminum baseball bat is actually a method, an oldschool one at that, of doing it. Basically it involves wedging the bat inbetween the tire and fender and pulling up.

I found mine on here in decent condition for about $200... of course I happened to be in the right spot at the right time... I'd been looking for about 2 years

If it can be removed, speed force uses some sort of dremel to cut the vent holes. I bummed a loaner panel off my shop (exotic motorwerks) in Phoenix when I shipped the S2 panel to sfr. They did a great job, no paint damage and it allowed me to install a cone filter inside the nose (in front of the radiator) for cool air intake.
