First of many
Today was a huge step for me (i think) as far as modifications go on the 83 944
It was raining so lacrosse practice was cancelled so i came home to find my throttle responce cam on the front porch. Install was easy and i was very please to find that the rattle at idle disapeared and that the car now revs smoother than my pal's bmw.
Here are a couple pictures of the install and the rainy day we had.
on a side note, we have recently added to the family
enjoy

you are very quick to catch on, hood shocks are on order, and the install was about 30 minutes cause i wanted to make sure i did it right and i cleaned up around it alittle too. I got it from Paragon and the total with regular shipping was $35.34.

hey man i did that to mine with the same throttle cam (weltmeister, red) a while ago. Do not forget to back out the nylon bolt behind the accelerator, so that when you go to floorboard it the cable doesnt snap. Swapping the throttle cams is pretty easy, only mine didnt fit on so a had to widen the hole with some sand paper (removed the paint). It doesnt take long at all, 15 min maybe, but the bolt behind the accelerator is a pita to get to cuz you havta go in at a wierd angle. Congrats on the mod, it is great fun!

Great looking car! Looks new, I don't see any paint chips - was it recently painted?

Never mind my question...
I see you just bought your car a few weeks ago. I remember your car from when you posted up the pics after the purchase. Perfect paint, except for the front lip
(cleverly cut out on that top pic)
So you also get a little slack for the hood shocks, too
I had mine for, like, eight months before I changed mine (changed last weekend!)

I have been thinking about getting one of these but i have been on the fence about it. How does the car drive with the throttle cam and DO you feel it was worth the money? I know it does not add Hp and have herd some say its not worth it as you can just put your foot down further to get the same effect. Do you guys think thisstatment it true?

I ordered mine a few days ago. I am hoping it arrives before the weekend. I will post pics too. I did not get the weltmeister though. I got a cheap knock off. I figure if all the holes are in the right place then why not. Not like it is a wear item.
