She's still the 2.5L, O-ringed, with a polished intake, Lindsey MAF, Super 65 turbo, 55Lb inj, Tial dual port, custom chips, 3 to 3.5 to 4" exhaust, adjustable fuel press, stage 2 intercooler and hardpipes. The suspension is the Bilstien Cup setup, with the 968 Mo30s.

Very nice Dan. Sorry I couldn't make it but I stayed at work so late I didn't have time. I hope you got it running more like you want as well.

CJ, I don't have your e-mail and the "email this user" function does not allow me to add attachments.
If you right click my link, and select "save file as", then try to view it, what error do you get? Since the other guys are seeing it OK, I'm not sure mailing it will solve the problem.

Yes, Wes..she's on a blend of 94 and 93 octane pump gas. RACE GAS? What are ya', crazy?? That stuff must be $14 a gallon nowadays! I would like to try a tank with some toluene blended in.

Mike, yes, the drastic hit when the turbo came on is gone. There is no more fartin' and poppin in the mid range tip in either. As you can see from the charts, the power comes on pretty smooth. It was the best $200 (2 guys and a rack for 3+ hours) I've spent on the upgrades.

Well, I would think even a well tuned 951 with those mods should have SOME small flames in between shifts on full power. Glad to hear that Dan about the nice smooth power. How does the car feel now compared to what you had before in boost building at the same RPM's? Does it seem to build quicker or slow then what you had?

Dan, if I used the same shop do you think they could tune my car? Now that they are familiar with the Mafterburner. Did you have to tell the what air/fuel you wanted to be at and where?

No, I didn't see any flames in the shop, but I did hear an occasional "POP" on the drive home. I haven't been chased at night to confirm or deny the pyrotechnics.

Mike, I don't know how to explain it but it feels very, very right. I had a grin from ear to ear on the drive home. (the run through Medina west, to 83 north is very rural). As soon as I pass 3000 RPM the power starts building and crecendos to a thrusting wail by 4000 as the car rockets forward, rear tires grasping for traction or churning with slippage. It is FUN!

Short story.. On the way home, the sun was shining, it was a beautiful day. I was on 83 north, where I go thru the outskirts of Grafton, the home to a large prison campus. Maximum security on the east side, medium and light security on the west. There is a large exercize yard fenced in with 15" razor wire around it just off the road, and it was packed with convicts. As I approached, I had a passing opportunity to put down a little Toyota Corolla, and I took it. About 150 yards before the fence started, the traffic opened up, and I stood on it and moved left, in third gear I'm guessing. Hammer down, I went past those guys coming thru triple digits with the throttle wide open. I shifted to 4th and was gone.... There had to be over 200 guys out in that yard and every one of them stopped what they were doing and STARED at the screaming blue missle flying past.

I LOVE this car!!!

Kev, yes, I'm sure that they could help you. There were a couple of minor issues, but for the most part they knew where the numbers should be and I didn't need to give them much input other than where I wanted the boost, etc. It really is a whole different car since they dialed it in. While I know Lindsey recommends data aquisition on the street due to better intercooler flow, there is NO WAY you could replicate 30+ WOT runs in 4th gear to redline on the street. They make a pull, make a few changes, and do it again. The results are there in front of you in black and white in a matter of minutes. One of the guy's opinion was he prefered tuning MAP vs MAF due to better consistancy, but it was a little late for that advice. The cone aircleaner seemed a bit restrictive too. The fact that it sucks itself closed is one indicator, but when you see the heavy blankets hung behind the car flying around, it is and indicator of how much air the car really is pumping, and how miniature that air filter is. I'd use 4x the surface area of that cone if I could find a place to hook it up.
