Drill the shocks out. You will want a drill press - a hand drill just won't cut it. Maximum size for the hole is supposed to be 2mm (I think this has something to do with the amount of pressure insid the shock).

Yes drill the back of the shoocks then you can compress them by hand, beware of the blue oil lol. That should fix your problem. As for the rear bumper implosion mod..... i just fixed that one after being rearended by a GMC truck......I decided that I did'nt like the way it looked anymore. If u have anymore questions u can pm me or post here if u did'nt already do it. Almost forgot you can probably catch me on AIM or Yahoo too

Hey, I have a Q about the bumper shock mod.
If you completely compress the shock until it stops, do you still have enough room to bolt the bumper on? And also, how "flush" will the bumper end up being...is it possible to go too far, or will it still stick out a small amount (1/2"?) even if all the way compressed?

You can not go too far in, mine is completley compressed and still sticks out 2". As for getting to the bolts to put the bumper back on, i don't think it will be too much of a problem. I have an aftermarket lower front bumper but mine bolted on no problem.
