Default How does all this sound?

Ok, Ive been ponderin what to do with the aesthetics of my car ever since I have gotten it running properly.
I think I have finally decided on my plan of attack.

1) Outter paint=British Racing Green! (I thought about it a lot and I think that would look best)
2) Strip the black off of my 16" fuchs. I just don't think black rims would look good with a dark green.
3) Doing my interior as a wood trim (mahogany steering wheel and shifter).

I just think that would kick 10 kinds of ***! Nothing has been set in stone though, so if you guys have any ideas please throw them out. Especially if you see any of this stuff clashing, because I dont in my head, and I'd hate to spend all this money and make it look like I bought it at wal-mart.

Thanks!!

Changing the color of your car is always a difficult business... But if you have the time and the money...

If your car is currently white I've seen a pearl white overcoat done and it looks great! THe black fuchs wheels will have to go... White car with black out wheels= no. I think the British racing green would look okay with the balck fuchs rims.

I am personally a big fan of British Racing Green. Id say go for it, maybe Testarossa can post a photochopped pic of what it would look like, if you posted a pic of your car that is. Testa is the photoshop master

British Racing Green with wood interior. That really sounds like a British sports car to me.

Doesn't sound German at all.

So why would a wood steering wheel be a good thing on a performance car?

If it makes you happy
Make sure you go through the post picts of your car threads first.
That way you can see all the fun that has been done.
For Green check out Duke.
There was also someone who had an all wood interior.
You might search for interior picts (pics) as well.

Actually... now you guys have me thinking.
It seems to be sacralidge(sp?) to make this German piece of art look like it rolled out of london.

Hmm....

Did you look at Duke's car (bottom link posted by Testarossa)?

Green's a great color. Well, actually when it comes down to it, a 944 looks good in just about any color

I think the part where it goes too far is the wood interior and steering wheel, esp the steering wheel. So far as the interior, I would do that bottom strip under the dash (the one with the clock in it) at the very most; though I've seen some wood under the shifter that looked OK.

I was thinking the Zebrano Fighter by Momo.
But it does seem like it would be a little overwhelming.
I wanted to buy the wood shifter from Jager... but it doesnt even look like they sell it anymore for the automatic (could find it yesterday, but I cant today).

Exclamation

Sh!tcan the fuchs, 17s or 18s really update 944s looks. Its gonna be a bear to go from white to a super dark color like that, but if its done right itd be pretty sweet. Theres some pics around of a green one in Norway (or someplace cold) that looks awesome.
