CK,

Negative ghost rider the pattern is full. I offered you my WQE. I even sent you funny law and economics questions, yet you still ask for more. I feel I have given enough.

As for the A/C. I HAVE TO HAVE A/C. It worked until it all leaked out down to the point where the compressor no longer kicks on. It died on me again in september of last year on the way to the airport on another one of my 36 hour trips up north/out west all over the freaking place for interviews. It must work. Must. I have to have a car with air-conditioning. This is the 21st century.

Juan. honestly that would be crazy.
Parents: Who the hell is this kid?
Me: Oh this is juan a crazy mexican from online with huge bannana hands. He can't really wrench on the small stuff but he can lift stuff up over his head and throw it. He will be picking the engine out by hand

Clearwater is the place you go on vacation if you are from somewhere nowhere near a beach.. Our beaches are amazing. However, there is a reason why I go to either a) way north beach or b) somebody's beach house. The sites are somewhat disturbing otherwise.

BTW - AC is a neccesity in FL, not a luxury. I STILL have scar tissue on the back of my thighs from my former life in FL.

OK.

Stages 0 through 1.5 were completed this morning. I got the car up on stands etc... Got the plugs replaced checked the levels got the car started and somehow it doesn't leak any more. Well that isn't entirely true. It is leaking very little around the water pump.

I ran up and down the interstate and when I got back it didn't leak. Not sure what the deal is, but I am going to assume that it isn't going to leak enough not to make it back home.

However, after I drove around for a while, I immediately realized what I HATE about this car:
1) NO A/C
2) No working radio
3) It is slow
4) NO A/C

When we first started it up, after 3 months of sitting there was copious amounts of oil chillin' on the cross pipe. LOL. It was smoking like a ****.

So, I will be home this weekend and will likely start either saturday or monday morning. Adam and I need to be back up in Gainesville to break down the apartment and stage for me to go to DC. So, once I know when I am going to start I will update this thread.

Alright. I made it back from Gainesville in record warp speed time last night. I am going to wash 3 months of caca of the car and it is going into the garage. I am going to get an engine hoist from my uncle after our Mother's day family get together and she IS COMING OUT.

My immediate plans for the next two weeks basically includes all the engine work. I am going to also have the injectors balanced and a new super sick pan baffle welded in by my friend Jason @ Heritage Motorcar. I will be going with a sachs "cup" clutch which should be more than adequate for my power goals and the fact that I plan on using this as a track/street car for the time being.

Travis @ rennbay is providing some other goodies and 944 technical support. The AC was so cold after charging it that I had to turn it down yesterday on the ride home because it was making my eyes dry out!!!!

isn't a/c lovely? i just installed a new compressor in the 944 and got it charged. VERY cold! and for the 924S it wasn't working, and i took a look at it and the wire that engages and disengages the a/c clutch had come off, and BAM Cold a/c was flowing again! all just in time for summer!

also if you are in need of a new a/c compressor for your 944, this is my ebay auction for one, only problem with it is one of the mounting brackets broke. that can be fixed. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMESE%3AIT

Thank you for calling 944 technical support, this is Travis speaking. How may I help you?

Andrew: I put in one can of freon and the gauge says its good.

Travis: Throw in another 2 cans and don't pay attention to the gauge.

ROFLCOPTER.

I think I am going to put a "cup" clutch in the car. Or, at least that is what I am telling myself. The KEP seems to be overkill. Need to find the best price on that. Any advice on that guys. Need the cup clutch and PP.

You are mistaken. Paint it Maize and Blue. The school with the most wins and best winning percentage in NCAA History.

If we were refering to years prior to 1990, you are right....

Andrew's car is 100% Pure Gator.

If I HAD to pick a Florida team, it would be Emmitt Smith's Alma Matter, Florida. Michigan still is #1 in wins and winning percentage. I can't stand Penn State, even though I live in PA now.
