Default REPLACE YOUR O2 SENSORS! and i rolled over 190,000miles this morning.

finally got around to replacing my o2 sensor a couple days ago. instant jump from 280miles per tank to 470!! sooo...make sure your o2 sensors are working guys. only downside is now when the engine is cold it hesitates alot...but whatever. must be cause the sensor hasnt warmed up yet.

also this morning rolled over 190,000miles. bring on 200,000! still running strong! just some oil leaks and 3firing cylinders in the winter time when cold.

Just changed mine. Made a big difference in throttle response and power (the feel anyhow). The old one was just.... rediculously destroyed. Saving me gas too.
I needed to replace mine for inspection though.

I'm sure I'm due for one, I've put about 50K on mine so far and I don't recall a record of one from the PO.

I should be rolling 347K miles tomorrow. Original motor! I'm still getting roughly 20-25mpg. About 2/3 of my daily 50 miles is highway tho.

ok now maybe i am nuts but 190K, 80K to me that is alot. I just rolled 43K the other day. and is 20 mpg around town or highway. If it is around town it might not be wrong but if its highway then there is definetly somehting going on.

I am in the process of installing a cat bypass and was told to leave the 02 sensor off. We dont have inspections here in Bama so I was under the impression that if you could delete it would run smoother. Any ideas on this????

Your going to want to leave the O2 sensor installed otherwise you'll be running in an open loop system and you may as well poor your gas on the ground when you fill up. The engine computer needs the O2 sensor installed to know how lean or rich the car is running and make constant adjustments. If its not there or isn't working correctly your not getting optimal power or mileage.
